Month 9 — Cruising the Furniture and Almost-Words
Your baby is on the move. Not walking yet, but cruising along every piece of furniture in the house with the determination of someone who has somewhere very important to be. They’re also babbling in long, complex strings that sound eerily like real sentences — you just can’t understand any of them. This month brings the pincer grasp, pointing, imitation, and a level of comprehension that will catch you off guard. They understand far more than they can say, and they’re finding new ways to tell you what they want. Film the cruising. Film the pointing. Film the babbling monologue they deliver to the dog with complete conviction. This stage moves fast, and the next version of your baby is already on its way.
